Mother and Child Pt. 1

The first of a series for my Figure Drawing II final assignment. The objective was to tell some kind of story with three images of the human figure. I chose to continue with the set of photos I had gotten from Berlin (also show here: [link] )

I'm still very new with using oils and I'm teaching myself as I go. Over all I'm fairly happy with this and the entire series. Although, I've found out that chubby child faces are difficult to work with.

Painted with oil paints and oil pastels on 16 in. by 20 in. cavas.
