Well, I finished the first batch of Team Tots for Insp-Higher/Milestone Publishing that features a little boy football player and a little girl cheerleader. Apparently they are a big hit. We've been getting a large amount of orders for them even this early in the year! It's exciting, but a little overwhelming. I'm in the process of working on a basketball player boy and girl, and I'm also working on getting the Team Tots, along with some other product designs, to go to a big team outside of collegiate sports (which I will reveal as soon as it's actually a sure deal). As a I said, it's all very exciting, and I'm curious to see how this all plays out. More information when it becomes available!

Insp-Higher and Milestone Publishing are the same company. Insp-Higher is the overall branch that deals with more everyday products, while Milestone deals with (currently only) collegiate products.

I figure there might be one person out there who has been wondering what I've been up to. I've been working on a new print line for the company I work for that includes small children and college sports. Due to licensing issues, I don't even want to risk uploading it here, so I'll post a link to the company website if anyone wants to see it. My deadline is to finish all the schools we represent (can't remember the exact number, but I know it's quite a few) using three different designs by Thanksgiving :dead: The first two designs are coming along smoothly enough, but the third one is giving me issues. Also, I seem to be losing motivation (meaning: I'm sick of seeing the same images every night).

I'm confident I can finish it in time, I'm just not so sure how pleasant I'll be in person from all the sleep I'm anticipating on losing.

I have a new computer and Photoshop CS5 :boogie:

Oh, and I was finally able to figure out how to get photos from my Nikon to change orientation. All it took was a different editing program.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what idiotic, obviously miniscule little detail that I am missing that is causing my images to be uploaded horizontally despite the fact that the file being uploaded is vertical?!

Update: So I think I've determined that it's my Nikon D3000 that's the cause of this grief (big surprise  ) It seems that every photo that I have taken with the Nikon will accept any editing changes such as cropping and color correction, but will always upload the file in its original position even after being changed. So, if anyone knows how it fix this, PLEASE let me know! As good as the pictures are from that camera, it almost seems like it's more trouble than the freakishly large amount of money I spent on the stupid thing

Good grief, I need to update. I've been so busy preparing for my Senior Art Portfolio Show that I haven't had time to really do much of anything else.  Now that that's over, I have a ton of other stuff I can focus on now. Joy. But, I at least have some stuff to submit, once I get to a good computer.

And hey, speaking of computers, I get to make a website for my art/portfolio. I'd rather use something other than DA for my "professional" site, and just use this for fun.  I was thinking about working with Wix.com, but I don't think my computer can handle it very well, meanig I can't imagine how I would update once I graduate and can no longer use the campus computers.  And suggestions for a website that is easy to use for someone who understands next to nothing about computers and isn't too taxing on a slower connection speed?

As of now I'm going to see about a local card company that's getting started in town (other than Dayspring) looking at my artwork. Maybe get hired or buy some of my work.  Also, I've got a couple of commissions in the works. One for a man's two daughters and one for a cover for my friend's novels.
